Drupal Makes SEO Easier

If you want to build a search engine friendly site and want it to be scalable, you should use a Content Management System (CMS) and avoid building sites with HTML or Dreamweaver templates. There are various CMS (Joomla, WordPress, Plone, Drupal) available to build a website.
In the article we list the reasons as to why Drupal is a good choice if you want your website to rank high on search engines:

1. Custom Content Types and Views

New content types & advanced custom views can be created by using the Content Construction Kit (CCK) which saves time and effort in writing codes. Content types means blog posts, news stories, classified ads, podcasts and tutorials. 'N' number of custom content types can be created and displayed in different ways.

2. Advanced URL Control

With Drupal you have precise control over URL structure. Different contents in Drupal can be given a separate custom URL each. A module called Pathauto also lets you automate custom URL structures for each different content type.

3. User Management

The design of Drupal was for community-based websites hence it has strong user control and access control functionality. Many customer user roles with custom access levels can be created.

4. Page Titles & Meta Tags

Drupal's Page Title Module gives you control of your HTML elements and Meta Tag Module gives you control over individual meta description tags for each page. Both modules are very easy to use.

5.Taxonomy (Category Systems)

The powerful category system allows you to organize and tag content. Each Drupal category can be limited to certain content types. For example: blog contents may allow free tagging while your news section won't at the same time. Drupal's advanced features combined with CCK and views allow you to target all long-tail keywords as well.

Drupal also has excellent documentation - official handbooks, API Referrals, tutorials blogs, communities where you can learn and explore Drupal.
